First aid for children: coloring and workbook
What do I do in the event of a burn? What to do if bitten by a tick? What should I do in an emergency? To answer these questions in a child-friendly way, the Förderverein der Luftrettungsstation Christoph 2 in Frankfurt am Main e. V. and the KIM publishing group have created an easy-to-understand coloring and workbook for children of primary school age.
Siblings Mario and Olivia guide you through the book with their dachshund Waldi. Information and skills are taught in a playful way so that first aid can be administered or help summoned in an emergency. With tips and advice on burns, heatstroke, tick bites, poisoning and shocks, children receive age-appropriate knowledge.
The illustrations give teachers, educators and parents the opportunity to address, discuss and practise these topics with the children.
Thanks to the support of the CHAJA Foundation and local companies, the coloring books and workbooks can be distributed free of charge to elementary school in the city of Frankfurt.
PROJECT AIMS
The coloring and workbook teaches important, basic and vital first aid skills in a low-threshold manner. This knowledge is taught in an age-appropriate way and their knowledge is consolidated. Knowing early in life what to do in an emergency gives you security and self-confidence.
